Fundación Soluciones Digitales para el Desarrollo Sostenible is a Salvadoran non-profit established in January 2020. Our HelpSV initiative aims to promote access to medical treatment for lower-income people in El Salvador. In this campaign we are collecting funds to purchase medicines for a patient suffering from type 2 diabetes, anemia, high cholesterol and triglycerides. The patient is 56 years old and works in agriculture, which has lately become difficult because he suffered an injury to his right foot (infected cut). The personal and medical information of the patient, who has preferred to remain anonymous, has been verified by our foundation.
The patient needs Prebictal to treat chronic pain, Glibenclamide 5 to treat his diabetes, and Vitamin C. The monthly cost of the medicines is 71.56 USD (59.85 Eur). Our goal is to be able to finance 6 months of treatment, 429.36 USD (358.80 Eur). As funds are raised, our foundation will purchase the medicines and coordinate the delivery. With your help, we can make sure that the patient has access to the medicines he needs. The medications are a significant financial burden given the income level of his household. Therefore, your help is important not only for his health but also for his family’s financial stability.
